I was inspired to redesign the cover of Anne of Green Gables because it was a favorite book of mine as a child. Through the Creative Action Network campaign, Recovering the Classics, I worked on modernizing this book cover. I wanted to pay homage to the green dress that Anne is known for in the book, but also wanted to bring new life to it. The silhouette style was also intended to feel like a traditional piece of art with a little twist by adding the flyaways to Anne’s hair. to turn a hobby into something more. I then chose to print the cover as a poster.
