I was inspired to redesign the cover of Anne of Green Gables because it was a favorite book of mine as a child. Through the Creative Action Network campaign, Recovering the Classics, I worked on modernizing this book cover. I wanted to pay homage to the green dress that Anne is known for in the book, but also wanted to bring new life to it. The silhouette style was also intended to feel like a traditional piece of art with a little twist by adding the flyaways to Anne’s hair. to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
I designed this cookbook as a way to compile all of the dessert recipes I used as a summer camp cook. As an avid cook and baker, this was a passion project. I took all of the photos for this project and wrote all of the recipes. In an effort to target the summer camper audience, I used bright colors and a friendly and approachable typeface.
